Imre Kovacs Flute Player of Haydn Orchestra Mr. Imre Kovacs works as a principal flutist of Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra, is one of the best player in Hungary. Not only the talent of flute, he has a courage to overcome the difficulties.

Almost 10 years ago, he made a Spain tour as a member of wind ensemble. When he and his colleagues was walking country side, the car with reckless driver crashed and hit some of them. It was a terrible accident that one died and one lost his leg. Imre Kovacs had also injured seriously. He was in the hospital almost 3 months including a month of intense care. Since he did not speak Spanish, he was lonely and felt very helpless. So, he studied Spanish in the hospital by himself. He lost his teeth which are very important for Wood wind and Brass instruments player, it took 3 years for him to play same as before regardless of his hard practice.

He missed the first concert of Haydn Orchestra because of this accident, however, he helped his colleagues when Hungarian States Symphony Orchestra traveled Spain in 1995, since he is the only one who can speak Spanish.

His performance can be listen with most of the CD of Haydn Orchestra and Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra, including the famous solo of Midsummer Nights Dream Overture.
