Violin section of Haydn Orchestra is flexible and some
musician plays both first and second depends on the situation. Mrs. Joanna Lewis is one of
such musician. Mainly she plays as a first violin but sometimes she plays the principal of
second violin. She belongs Vienna Volksoper Orchestra, but is not Austrian but
Australian musician. In the past when the Haydn Orchestra invited the conductor who
doesn't speak German, she took very important role to translate English instruction to
German.
