Jozsef Vajda

Mr. Jozsef Vajda, the bassoon player of Haydn Orchestra had layed with Budapest Radio Symphony Orchestra as a solo bassoon since 1970, until retired few years ago. He is known as one of the best bassoon player in Hungary and won the Franz Liszt Prize in 1978. He is the only one who became a musician in five brothers and sisters of his family, however, his wife graduated Bartok Conservatry at the same time with Mr. Fischer and now she is the Opera singer at Budapest Opera House.

His son Gergely had studied music in Liszt Music Academy. He played clarinet with Haydn Orchestra but he resigned and took up as a conductor.
