Robert Lorenzi - Horn

Robert Lorenzi One of important instruments of Haydn Orchestra, Horn player Mr. Robert Lorenzi plays in the orchestra pit of the Vienna State Opera, as a member of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra.

Many of Haydn's works do not use brass instruments like Trombone or Tuba. The Horn as well as the Trumpet, is often used to increase the intensity. For instance, "Autumn" of the famous oratorio "Seasons", "La fedelta premiata" Overture and symphony No. 73 "La Chasse" all have an important horn solo, expressing the scene of the hunting. That time he plays the most active part. Not only technically, also physically it is very difficult. Since Mr. Fischer thinks the stage effect is also important, sometimes he positions the horn at the auditorium and orchestra and the horn answering each other. So he must go away from the stage and hurry to the position. Once, there was not enough time and he ran as fast as possible. Then he was breathing hard and missed the important solo. When you listen to the CD of Haydn Orchestra and there is a horn solo, please remember him.

He is the Orchestra Director of Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra in 1999.
