2003 Schedule and Haydntage

2003 will be another busy year for Adam Fischer and Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra. Following a concert on January 25, Adam and Haydn Orchestra will appear three times in Budapest on February 24th, April 22nd, and May 9th. They will perform at the Vienna Musikverein on March 7th.

The Haydntage 2003 starts on September 11th and ends on 21st. The orchestra does not play in this year's opera but give three concerts on 13th, 18th and the 21st matinee. Unlike last year, only one performance of the final matinee is planned. This year's theme is "Haydn and Beethoven" and the Haydn Orchestra will play three Haydn Symphonies (No. 86, 100, and 104) and two Beethoven Symphonies (No. 5 and No. 7), plus the "Harmonie mass". In between the festival concerts, Adam Fischer will conduct "Das Rheingold" and "Die Walk·e" at Vienna.
Adam Fischer's major performances in Mannheim are "Boris Godunov" premier on February 8th, "Parsifal" on April 18th, "Lohengrin" on April 27th, and "Othello" on May 17th. In addition, he will conduct some revivals including "La clemenza di Tito" and "Bluebeard's Castle". (Dates are tentative at the moment)

After guest conducting at Florence in February and Hamburg in March, Adam will appear at subscription concerts of the Budapest Radio Symphony and Vienna Symphony in April with Mahler's Symphony No. 7. There will be a lot of opera guest appearances in June, including "Andrea Chenier" at Vienna and "Zauberfl?e" in Munich and Zurich. He has three Ring cycle at Bayreuth in the summer. After Eisenstadt, Adam has the second half of the "Ring" cycle at Vienna and "Le nozze di Figaro" in Zurich.
