  • CD - Mozart: Opera "Mitridate, re di Ponto" (DACAPO) Danish National Chamber Orchestra
Mozart: Mitridate, re di Ponto

The catalog of Mozart opera recordings isn't exactly crowded with versions of his early opera seria Mitridate, re di Ponto. In fact, this new release from conductor Adam Fischer, published on the Dacapo Records label, is only the third studio issue, following previous recordings from Leopold Hager (1977) and Christophe Rousset (1998).

  • CD - Mozart: Symphonies Vol. 6, No.19-21 (DACAPO) Danish National Chamber Orchestra

  • CD - Mozart: Opera "Lucio Silla" (DACAPO) Danish National Chamber Orchestra
DACAPO Recording of Mozart’s Lucio Silla gains Gramophone Editor’s Choice

Adam Fischer, “For me, an unknown Mozart opera is a contradiction in terms, I don’t understand why people don’t know it. Lucio Silla is so much better than all the other operas which were written at the time and it is a shame that it is not played more often.

  • CD - Haydn: Sinfonien Nr. 88 & 101 (MDG) Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra

  • CD - Haydn: The Complete Symphonies (Brilliant) Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra
Joseph HAYDN (1732-1809) The Complete Symphonies

These 33 CDs of the 107 symphonies (a word about the precise number shortly…) were recorded over a period of 14 years by a hand-picked ensemble of musicians from Vienna and Budapest, in no less a venue than the Esterházy Palace itself. By any standards, this was a huge undertaking and, with this release, it is now finished. Congratulations and celebrations are in order!
